One main requirement for keeping your rabbit are good outdoor rabbit hutches. For your rabbit to live in comfort outside in a situation close to that in nature, it will need a secure, and warm place to sleep and get out of the weather, and also a large area, or run, in which to exercise.

A rubbit hutch should be as large as you can make it. The hutch should include an open area where you can see and interact with your pet. This can be via glass or wire netting on one side. The hutch will also need an enclosed area large enough for sleeping. It is important to all animals that they are able to have privacy when wished and rabbits are no different.

Rabbit hutches and runs are to be found in most pet stores both online and offline.
If you decide to site your rabbit hutch with a run attached to it, be sure that you have wire netting under the grass in the run. Rabbits love to tunnel and the last thing you want is for your pet to escape and either dig up your neighbours prize vegetables or get onto the road.

Traditionally, a large rabbit cage is usually made of wood with water-proofing on the roof. It should have sufficient space to allow your pet to move around and also with openings to make cleaning your rabbit hutch easy. As well as food and water, you will also need to provide bedding material of staw or hay. You will find a number of container systems for water and food, either attached to the wire netting, or in bowls which may be fixed to prevent tipping.

Rabbits are a really good first introduction to keeping pets. They make very good pets since they are generally happy to be held and stroked and are very loving animals. They really only need a good wheatherproof hutch, a good sized run, food and water, and loving care and attention.
