When Jim bought his wife the new parrot he never thought that he would have any problems with the charming little bird. However, he was in for a shock when he took her home. Kim, his wife, decided to start calling the bird Jenny after her grandmother. Jim thought the name was lovely, but quickly learned that Jenny was going to be a pain in his life.
Since Jenny would walk on his shoulder the entire time in every store she knew what exactly they were getting. Then later on when they would run into Kim, Jenny would look at her and tell her in a really loud voice exactly everything that they had gotten that day.
One day Jim really thought he had managed to sneak a mongoose mountain bike past Jenny, but as soon as he got home he knew that he was had. Jenny quickly took off from his shoulder and flew into the living room and started talking in a really loud voice telling Kim about the new bikes that they had just purchased.
Kim asked Jenny if that was all that he had purchased and Jenny told her that it was. However, Jim must have managed to sneak in the pair of pearl izumi shorts. He leapt up with a new sense of pride knowing that he finally could surprise Kim. He handed over the shopping tote and knew that he had picked out a good item judging by the hug that he got.
Jenny started screeching loudly towards Jim and Kim hugging. Jim quickly headed back out to his shop and thought about what he could do to make sure that Jenny would stop telling all of his secrets. The next day he headed back into the house and gave Jenny a brand new perch to sit on.
He decided that the thing that would keep her occupied would be some new toys. He walked back in and hung those up on her cage. Jenny hopped into the cage and started playing with them. While she was occupied with the toys Jim headed out to the store to purchase some new diamondback bikes. He never thought that he would get away with it, but he managed to.
When he walked back into the house an hour later Jenny was talking to Kim about him sneaking out. Kim smiled knowing that Jenny was not happy that he had managed to give her the slip. However, when she went out to the truck later on she was happy because he had built a special perch on the new items so she could come with them all the time now.
