If you choose to have birds at home ensure you have appropriate housing for them.The lifetime of the bird will be greatly impacted by what size and type of aviary you buy. It is reccommended you get one that’s very large. The birds want to climb, stretch and play so it’s essential there is adequate space for the parrot to do this inside rather than it just sitting on a perch placed inside the bird aviary. All bird aviaries need horizontal bars. Which will make it much more bird friendly inside the aviary for climbing. Check the spaces between the bars so it does not injure itself during this activity. Do not purchase a bird aviary on the fact it is inexpensive alone. The material used in constructing the bird aviary may not be of good quality and may also pose as a danger for the parrot. I Conventional bird aviaries have doors and latches. Don’t choose this option when purchasing your aviary as it can cause injury to your birds, beak, head, neck or wing. It would be advisable to get detachable ones so as not to cause any injury to the bird. Unfortunately the birds produce waste. Ideally the bird aviary should have a pull out tray in the bottom so the owner can take this off and clean it. This will make it a lot easier to clean rather than having to go inside the bird aviary. Thebird aviary should have a specified area where the bowl will be placed. Some bird aviaries come with plates supplied others will require you to purchase them separately. This should be removable because this needs to be cleaned twice a day before and after feeding. If you place the perch near to where the food plate is it will be easier for your bird at feeding time. Having a pet big or small is an big responsibility. You should have a large and safe bird aviary to enjoy for many years with your parrot.
